What constitutes MEC?

The intermediate course MEC includes three important subjects such as mathematics, economics, and commerce. Students who complete this course will have a solid foundation in business ideas, economic theory, and mathematical reasoning.

The MEC course’s mathematics section gives students the tools they need to think critically and solve problems. It incorporates subjects like algebra, calculus, statistics, and probability and develops students’ quantitative and logical reasoning skills. Students learn the fundamentals of macroeconomics and microeconomics through the study of economics. The subject of commerce is business, specifically accounting, finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship. It teaches students the fundamentals of managing a business as well as financial transactions, bookkeeping, financial statements, marketing plans, and business operations. 

What after MEC?

Students of MEC can pursue careers in accounting, finance, banking, marketing, human resources, and other business-related fields. MEC serves as a strong foundation for professional courses such as Chartered Accountancy (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA), or pursue higher education in fields like MBA or M.Com.
